Don’t these look delicious?
I made Sloppy Joes last night and my wonderful husband brought home a plethora of slider buns! So we had Sloppy Joe-Loppy (as Willow calls them) SLIDERS! What a treat! They turned out to be perfect for all of our little hands to hold – even Raven enjoyed one!
Since these turned out to be SO family friendly I figured I’d share my recipe for Sloppy Joes! We like to top ours with chopped pickles and serve with baked potato wedges drizzled in olive oil and sea salt.
Sloppy Joe-Loppies
2lbs ground beef
1 medium tomato
1 small onion
1/2 of a green pepper
1 clove of garlic
splash of Worcestershire sauce
3-4 tablespoons of ketchup
teaspoon of cracked pepper
Brown your beef and drain.
Chop veggies, mince garlic and add to skillet. Add cracked pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Add ketchup to taste, you may like more or less. Stir and simmer until onions and peppers are soft.
Enjoy on slider buns or your favorite bread/roll!
We had sloppy joes today with onion rings
They look great!
